- Introduction and Agreement
By accessing this website and purchasing products from A Pin of Gold, you (“the Customer”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before purchasing. These terms are governed by South African and International law.
- Description of Goods (Vintage & Antique Nature)
Unique Items:
All items are pre-owned vintage or antique (generally over 100 years old).
Condition Disclaimer:
Items may show minor signs of wear, patina, or age, which are considered part of their character and history. We endeavor to disclose significant damages or repairs.
Accuracy:
Weights, dimensions, and ages are approximations. Gemstone carat weights are often estimated without removing stones from their settings.
Authentication:
Statements regarding authenticity, date, and provenance constitute our best judgment based on expertise and documentation.
- Order Process and Payment Contract Formation
A binding contract is formed only when we send a confirmation email that the goods have been dispatched.
Payment:
Full payment is required before shipment. We accept [PayPal/Credit Card/Electronic Bank Transfer]. Reservation:
Items cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement.
- Shipping and Delivery
All items are sent and tracked with secure couriers.
International Shipping:
Buyers are responsible for all shipping costs, import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees in their country.
Risk:
The risk of damage or loss passes to the buyer upon delivery.
Undelivered Items:
If an order cannot be delivered, we will notify you and offer to correct or cancel the order.
- Returns and Refunds Return Period:
We do not offer a return period due to the nature of antique and vintage jewellery.
- Limitation of Liability
A Pin of Gold is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. We do not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear or misuse. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the price paid for the item.
- Intellectual Property
All content, including photos and descriptions, is the property of A Pin of Gold and cannot be used without permission.
- Privacy Policy
We comply with the POPIA Act and local privacy laws. Personal data is kept secure and used only for processing orders and improving customer experience.
